Blues master heading to Ballandean

By JONATHON HOWARD

CAPTION: Blues sensation Connor Cleary will visit the Southern Downs this month to perform at the Bungawarra Winery.

THE Bungawarra Winery will rock to the sounds of young blues sensation Connor Cleary on Sunday, 23 June.
Connor Cleary and his band combine the styles of rock, blues, jazz and funk into a tasty mix.
From humble beginnings in small town NSW, Connor went on to study music with Jim Kelly and has jammed with Delta Goodrem.
Connor’s musical roots run deep, his great-grandmother started Australia’s first all-female jazz orchestra and he grew up absorbing all the music he could from Irish and Australian Folk music.
Connor’s greatest influences are Jimi Hendrix, Johnny Winter, B.B King, Eric Clapton, Santana, Tommy Emmanuel and Stevie Ray Vaughn and he has always had a passion for blues.
Connor is based in Brisbane and patrons of the Boundary Hotel and other blues venues know him well.
At the moment he is travelling further afield promoting his new EP Frank.
People are encouraged to come early to Bungawarra, bring a picnic and settle in before the performance starts.
Tickets are $12 each, kids free.
Please phone 4684 1128 for further details. Bungawarra is on Bents Road, Ballandean.
