Saleyards expected to be raised at Q&A

The Southern Downs Regional Council is inviting residents to its next ‘Q&A sessions’ to be held in Warwick and Stanthorpe tonight and tomorrow night.
The topic of the future management of the Warwick Saleyards is expected to be raised by producers at tonight’s Warwick Q&A at the Town Hall, starting at 5.30pm.
The council says its intended topics for discussion during the Q&A sessions include –
• Updates on Council’s Major Projects
• Financial planning and performance
• De-amalgamation and budget consultation
The Stanthorpe Q&A session will be held tomorrow, Wednesday 21 March, at 5:30pm at the Stanthorpe Civic Centre Supper Room.
The council says the mayor and councillors, along with council’s chief executive officer, directors, and where appropriate, some managers, will attend the Q & A sessions.
Mayor Tracy Dobie said previous Q&A sessions were “positive events with community members giving excellent feedback about several topics and issues”.
“It is an opportunity for residents to engage Council, stay up-to-date with what’s happening across the region and ask questions about what’s important to them,” Cr Dobie said
