Town Hall toilets closed by council

Not a done dunny deal - community demands continue that the toilets be retained.

The Southern Downs Regional Council has sealed off public access to the Warwick Town Hall toilets ahead of their demolition.
Signage and plastic tape has been put up at the toilets, advising the public they are closed and to use the closest public toilets, near the Warwick Post Office on Grafton Street.
Community members and businesses have insisted the toilets should stay where they are, saying they are frequently used by shoppers and visitors.
The council says they are an eyesore, unsafe, do not meet disabled access standards and are prone to vandalism.
They plan to replace the toilets with three RV parking spaces.
The council has called for quotes from contractors for the demolition of the toilets, a process which closed last Friday 9 March.
No date has yet been publicly released for the demolition.
