Warwick Showgirl Quest entrant Jessica Jones is holding a ‘colour run’ fundraising event next Sunday 4 February at the Warwick Showgrouunds.
The event is a five kilometre run/walk where entrants will be coloured with five different colours at five different stations throughout the course.
There will be a sausage sizzle and drinks available on the day – come as a family, group or individuals, you can walk, jog, run or mix it up.
Jessica says the event is “completely self-paced” and all ages and fitness levels are welcome.
“I’ve entered the Showgirl Quest as my family has been connected to the Warwick community for years and I enjoy going to Warwick Show,” she said.
“I love the smaller country shows and the demonstration of community support they offer.
“I have relatives that have been involved with the show in the past and I have been attending the Warwick show for many years following the Showgirl Quest and a few people have said why not give it a go, so here I am now.
“It’s a way of helping the smaller shows and becoming part of the community and to help ensure the existence of shows for future generations.
“It’s a great way of meeting new people and viewing the behind the scenes of the show and all that goes into creating a wonderful time for all that attend.”
