Angelo honoured once again

GRANITE BELT winemaker Angelo Puglisi has been named an Australia Day Ambassador by the State Government.
A pioneer of Queensland’s wine industry, Mr Puglisi is one of 47 Queenslanders named by Premier Campbell Newman to join local communities across the state to help celebrate our national day.
Mr Puglisi is considered to be the founder of the modern Queensland wine industry and over the past 80 years his family business, Ballandean Estate, has been at the forefront of developing and promoting the Queensland wine industry.
His annual charitable events, Opera in the Vineyard and Jazz in the Vineyard, have raised over $1 million for Queensland charities.
It is the ninth consecutive year he has been named as an Australia Day Ambassador.
