WARWICK garden designer Clint Kenny’s “The Laurels” will be open this weekend as part of the Open Gardens scheme.
Mr Kenny has created most of the garden over the past four years with an emphasis on creating individual garden ‘rooms’ featuring plants the suit the Warwick climate.
The rooms give the garden a great deal of variety, with formal elements giving way to fun and whimsical features whilst unique plantings of old fashioned perennials provide a romantic ambience.
“The kitchen garden is looking particularly good this Spring,” Mr Kenny said.
“The recent rain has really made the vegetables so lush.”
The garden also features a lot of recycled materials used in different ways.
“Rustic barbed wire balls, old school house timber arbours and a recycled tin chook house – we make all the features and each one has a story and it’s own individuality” he said.
The Laurels is open from 10am-4.30pm Saturday 23 November and Sunday 24 November at 54 Locke St, Warwick. Refreshments available. Garden entry is $7 per person with under 18 years free.
