Southern Downs Rifle Club

ON Sunday 28 October shooters were at the 600 yard range on what was another day where the wind conditions and mirage were very difficult to judge – to the point that just as you were to shoot the conditions would change. This caught out many of the shooters during the day.
The scores for Target Rifle ( Iron Sight) out of a possible 105 were Jamie Marshall 100.8, Jim Dickenson 100.6 and Chris Neave 97.4. Congratulations Jamie on winning Target Rifle class.
The scores for F Standard Class ( Scope Class) out of a possible 125 were Murray Reck 117.3, Bob Tyllyer 114.6, Darryl Reck 112.2, Barry Russell 112.2, Beth Caskey 109.3, Graham Eagle 107.3, David Norman 107.2, Margaret Taylor 103.3, Bob Locke 100.1, Bob Smythe 96 and David Taylor 92.1. The club’s next event to be held on the 3 November will be on the 300-yard range. This a great Range for those with 303s to attend and have a day out with a great group of people. New shooters and members are very welcome, come along and try Long Range Target Shooting for a sport. You will find it very interesting as well as meet some great people who are only too happy to assist you.
