Singers share Vivaldi’s Gloria

108958_01 The East Street Singers perform at a recent Jumpers and Jazz concert.

THE East Street Singers and guest artists will provide an opportunity to hear some wonderful music when they perform The Gloria by Vivaldi in Warwick on Sunday.
The Gloria is a wonderful suite of pieces full of Vivaldi magic. The “red monk”, as he was known, did not just compose the Four Seasons, but lots of other fabulous music, including the Gloria.
Toowoomba organist Andrew Doecke will be performing some wonderful solo music on St. Mark’s organ as well as playing keyboard for the choir.
The choir will also be accompanied by a strings ensemble of four violins, two violas and a cello, led by Michael Spiller. Michael, a local violin teacher and accomplished player, will also entertain the audience with a lively solo violin performance.
Vocal soloists are local singing teachers Jill Hulme singing soprano, and Kylie Ludlow singing alto.
The concert will be on Sunday 3 November, at St Mark’s Church, Grafton Street, Warwick, at 2pm.
Tickets are available at the door and cost $12 and $10 concession.
Tickets include a delicious afternoon tea to be served in St. Mark’s hall and all proceeds will go to Safe Haven. For further information, contact Jill on 4661 2126.
