Southern Downs Rifle Club

Sunday 6 October shooters gathered at the 300 yard range on what proved to be a day of constant wind changes and strengths that at times caught out many.
Scores for Target Rifle (Iron Sight) contestants out of a possible 105 were; Jim Dickenson 103.10, Bob Abood 103.8, Rob Bondfield 102.8, James Bondfield 102.7, Jamie Marshall 99.7, Les Pedersen 95.9 and Chris Neave 93.4.
Scores for F Class Standard (Scope Class) contestants out of a possible 126 were; Beth Caskey 120.6, Bob Tyllyer 115.3, David Taylor 113.6, David Norman 108.2, Graham Eagle 105.1, Bob Locke 102.2, Bob Smythe 100.2, Max Downie 48, and Carl Read (who only completed one range) 45.1.
F Class Open; Margaret Taylor 103.2.
The club welcomes back Bob Locke after a long absence.
Next Sunday the Darling Downs District Rifle Association will be holding the Annual Kruger Shield at the Southern Downs Rifle Range Warwick. This will be contested by teams from the southeast, Brisbane, and the Darling Downs. A great competition and we expect some great scores from the teams and hoping for fine weather and kind winds.
