It was very quiet at the Cross last weekend as there were no bowls held. This coming Saturday 12 October will be the Odillo Cecotti trophy day starting at 1.30pm. Names in by 1pm please so play can begin on time.

Thursday the ladies played for the Canning brooch and the lucky winner was C. Sawyer on 26pts, from Y. Reid 21pts, L. Butler 21pts, C. Hope 20pts, L. Heywood 15pts, B. O’Brien 15pts, B. Donovon 11pts, B. Cross 10pts, Q. Hamer 10pts and L. Marriott 10pts.
Ladies, there will be social bowls only tomorrow starting at 9.30am.
The visit from the Bribie Island RSL social bowlers will be on Thursday 17 October at 9am. This will be mixed bowls and anyone is welcome to come along and enjoy the morning followed by a delicious lunch prepared by the ladies.
Coming up on 19 October will be Hynes Newsagency sponsored day.
