Tanny bowlers on the road

By Casey O'Connor

The Tannymorel bowlers are certainly not letting the grass grow under their feet in spite of recently top dressing their green.

Top dressing the green was a big effort made much easier by the team effort of the Tanny troops.

While the green has been out Tanny troops have hit the road notching up wins all over the Southern Downs.

Matty Tuck Gordon and Mick O’Leary recently won the annual Apple Blossom Four’s at The Summit.

Matty Gordie and TB headed to Clifton for the Clifton for their Triples event and came home with the Winner’s trophy.

Last weekend the Club had a very successful weekend in the Pennants competition winning Division Two. Well done to the team who got over the top of the Summit.

Matty and Walshy also helped the Warwick Club to their win in Division Three.

The launch of the Premier 7’s competition was held at the Salisbury Bowls Club last Sunday. 28 Teams took to the green in the 4’s event and it was Tanny Terrors who once again pilfered the winner’s trophy. Congratulations to Sue Tuck Pete and Grumpy who answered the call and flew the flag at Salisbury. Seems they left the good folk down there far more educated on the whereabouts of Tannymorel (Tanny Who?) and also showed they can play bowls to boot. Well done Tanny Team Now you just need to keep up the good work.
