It was a fine and cool day at Wallangarra at the weekend but the competition was red hot at the Wallangarra Golf Club with a Single Stableford event bringing out the best in everyone. With the old Master Lyle Bryant taking the field with a sizzling 38 points closely followed by runner-up Denis Ree.Captain stakes was back to Peter Butler, who also was the only one in the wind to get a nearest the Pin shot on the 9th.The Birdies nest and the jackpot escaped everyone again before everyone warmed up at the 19th.This weekend it’s find your partners for a Two Ball Ambrose game sponsored by the Wallangarra Store so be ready for a big day.July 2 is the Monthly Medal and putting competition for the Henry Parks Motor Inn. Looking forward, Saturday, July 9, a 4BBB Stableford has been programmed to get everyone ready for a Ball Ambrose for the Wallangarra School Fun day on Sunday, July 10, which will be a Ball Ambrose. These are great fun days for players, non players and visitors and the proceeds will benefit the local school.
