Take a Kid Fishing Day

The annual Queensland Government Department of Primary Industries and Fisheries’ Take a Kid Fishing Day is on this Sunday, starting from 8am at Connolly Dam, just south of Warwick.
This event is free and is being held state-wide on the same day this year and is promoted to get children interested in the sport of fishing.
As all children attending must be registered and supervised, entry forms are available from Warwick Outdoors & Sports, Palmerin Street.
Sunfish are providing 180 free sample bags to be given away, as well as giveaways from the Australian Fishing Tackle Association; and other sponsors have all donated towards this day, which will conclude with a barbecue lunch and presentations from about 11am.
The Warwick District Recreational Fish Stocking Association Inc provides all the bait and manpower to run this event.
This local event last year was one of the most popular in Queensland, with numbers of children attending, so mark April 3 on your calendar as a great morning out for the children!
