Stallholders wanted for October

Missing the Markets?

Most stall holders would agree, it has been a drought for community markets over the past months.

Helen Welsh, of Dragon Dust Florist, always looks forward to demonstrating her intricate jewellery and bead craft at markets and other events. Helen’s journey is an inspiring one, which brings a different perspective to her work.

“I got into beading as a way of combating depression and anxiety 8 years ago”, explains Helen.

“It started with a handful of beads and a book. Being largely self- taught, I have also branched out into floristry and basic wire work – I have continued to develop my skills with Pinterest, YouTube, Facebook groups and experimentation.”

Dragon Dust Florist works of art can be viewed on Facebook and Instagram.

Helen will be demonstrating her work at the Rose City Probus Club of Warwick Art & Craft Expo to be held on Saturday 17 October, and an invitation is out there for many more exhibitors and stall holders.

Colin Dobie, President of Rose City Probus Club , assures all participants a guaranteed audience for the day.

“It will be run in conjunction with Regency Park Retirement Village Open Day, and it will be operating in a ‘safe’ environment, taking into account all Government Co-vid regulations, and all under cover,” Colin said.

“People will be coming and going all day, and it also happens to be on the same weekend as the Condamine Country Art Trail.

“There are prizes on offer for exhibitors and should be an excellent opportunity for keen marketeers to be out selling their goods again.

“All commission and donations go to LifeFlight.”
