Train and car collide at rail crossing, minor injuries

The Warwick-Allora Road is open after a train collided with a sedan at Toolburra just outside Warwick earlier today, Friday 1 May.

The accident happened at the rail crossing near Evans Road just north of Rosehill at around 11am.

It is believed the train collided with the front end of the vehicle and pushed the vehicle onto the grass verge next to the railway line.

Two occupants of the sedan, a man and woman police said are aged in their 60s, were taken by ambulance to Warwick Hospital in a stable condition with minor injuries.

It is understood the train drivers were shaken but uninjured.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
