Possible showers on way, says weather bureau

The Warwick and Stanthorpe areas could see a chance of some showers over the next couple of days thanks to a series of “weak upper troughs” moving across Southern Queensland, the Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) forecasts.

BOM says the troughs combined with a “slow-moving surface trough” could “increase the potential of showers and possibly thunderstorms over the southeast and southeast interior” tomorrow, Tuesday 27 August and Wednesday.

BOM forecasts…

Tuesday 27 August…

Warwick – max, 24, min 6, partly cloudy

Stanthorpe – max 21, min 4, possible shower/storm

Wednesday 28 August…

Warwick – max 22, min 7, showers, possible storm

Stanthorpe – max 18, min 5, shower or two, possible storm
