The funeral of local thoroughbred industry figure Basil Nolan Jnr will be held this Thursday 15 November at 11am at St Mary’s Catholic Church in Warwick, followed by a Requiem Mass.
Mr Nolan died in a farm-related accident a short time before midnight last Tuesday 6 November.
Since then tributes have been pouring in locally and nationally for a man described as one of the most respected in the thoroughbred industry, as well as a devoted father of four young children.
The Nolan family operates Raheen Stud at Gladfield, one of Queensland’s leading thoroughbred nurseries.
All are welcome to attend Basil’s funeral on Thursday, which is also expected to be attended by racing industry participants from across Australia and internationally.
