Districts to the west of Warwick and Stanthorpe fared the best in Sunday night’s unexpected downpours, with Inglewood receiving more than 50mm.
Widespread falls across the Southern Downs, Granite Belt, South-West and Border regions have resulted in welcome flows into rainwater tanks, with showery conditions expected to persist today, Monday 2 July.
The outlook for the rest of the week for Warwick is for partly cloudy conditions but no rainfall, with daytime maximums in the low 20s and overnight minimums hovering between 5 and 7 degrees.
Stanthorpe can also expect partly cloudy conditions throughout the week, with maximums between 17 and 20 and overnight minimums of around 4 to 5 degrees.
