Head downtown for Rodeo Street Parade

Tomorrow – Saturday 26 October – will see the largest number of entries in recent times take part in the 2019 John Dee Warwick Rodeo Street Parade, the Southern Downs Regional Council said.

“More than 60 entrants will line Palmerin St in what is sure to be a spectacle not be missed,” a council spokeswoman said.

“Make sure you get down to the parade route between Victoria St and Fitzroy St from 9am on tomorrow, Saturday, to catch a glimpse of the Rocket Car, the Dancing Dragon, the Tiny Truck and even a very recognisable brown Charger!

“There are also a few hilarious and colourful surprises that the kids will love.

“This year, more than 20 entrants are vying for the $500 prize for “Best In Theme”, bringing their best depictions of ‘Australiana’ to the party.

“So head on down and be there for what’s sure to be an amazing parade, then check out the Rodeo Markets in Leslie Park from 9am to 1pm.”
