The Killarney Showgrounds will be jumping this Friday, Saturday and Sunday with the 2017 Killarney Rodeo.
Killarney has always been passionate about rodeo with the purpose-built arena being one of the earliest in the state to offer night rodeo under lights.
Tomorrow night, Friday 11 August features the new season Futurity and Classic including the Ladies’ Futurity, featuring the ‘Downunder Bucking Bulls’ and the Open Futurity, Open Bull Ride and Classic Bull Ride. The action kicks off from 5pm.
Saturday night, 12 August will be the NRA All Round Rodeo – which kicks off from 3pm and into the night, along with a pre-performance at 11am – and the action continues on Sunday 13 August with the Queensland Barrel Racing Association event.
The big Saturday night program features all of your favourite rodeo events including bull, saddle bronc and bareback bronc riding, rope and tie, steer wrestling, team and breakaway roping and junior events including barrel racing, breakaway roping, team roping and bull riding. The canteen and bar will be open until late with live music. Admission is $10 for adults, and $5 for primary children and concessions. A family pass for two adults and two children is just $20.
