Aviation buffs took to the skies in the Warwick area on Saturday 25 March for a special fly-in to a private property south of town.
Locals Bob and Pam de Lissa have their own private air strip on their property, with Bob a member of the Sporting Aircraft Association and one of the affiliated clubs – the 19th Chapter, based on the Gold Coast.
The club decided to hold their next away visit at the de Lissa property.
Over 50 people attended with nine planes flying in from around 10am on the Saturday. There were different light aircraft with some visitors from the Warwick area.
Lunch was a barbecue with donations to “Angel Flight” and more than $250 was raised. The members gathered and enjoyed catching up with like-minded enthusiasts.
