Debbie casts a wide rain shadow

Warwick and Stanthorpe can expect showers and possible heavy rainfall over the next 48 hours as ex-tropical cyclone Debbie, now classed as a tropical depression, tracks southward over Queensland.
Bureau of Meteorology forecaster Adam Blazak told the Free Times while most of the heavier rainfall in the southern part of the state associated with Debbie would be concentrated east of the Great Dividing Range, the Southern Downs and Granite Belt could still expect wet conditions from tonight, Wednesday, and into Thursday.
He said falls of up to 100mm were possible in areas close to the range on Thursday.
Wet conditions are expected to ease across the region on Friday.
Warwick can also expect cooler conditions on Thursday, with a top of 23 degrees forecast, and 21 for Stanthorpe.
