Travels capture the landscape

Burri with Sacred Path Bunya Mountain.

Artist Burri Jerome made a flying visit to Warwick for a cuppa and a chat as he took a break from painting on location in the Great Dividing Range.
Travelling from northern New South Wales to the Bunya Mountains, he paints the landscape that inspires him.
“Old people talk about figures or personalities – I paint portraits of these personalities in the landscape,” he said.
Burri has close family connections with this area and returns regularly to capture in paint the changing seasons.
