Porkers pour on the pace

Get a wriggle on over to the Sandy Creek Hotel this Saturday arvo and have "a punt on a grunt".

It’s on again – the annual Sandy Creek Pig Races this Saturday 18 March, when the Sandy Creek Pub will host the seventh annual race event.
The charity event raises much-needed funds for very worthy charities including RACQ Lifeflight and the students of the local Wheatvale State School.
The ’Famous’ Sandy Creek Pig Races’ is a fantastic family fun-filled day out with a free jumping castle, animal nursery and activities to keep the kids entertained.
Wonderful food and refreshments will also available as will live entertainment until late.
Fashions on the field is making a return this year with prize money for first and second place.
Pre-purchased tickets are on sale now and are available at the Sandy Creek Pub or Wheatvale State School for $10 adults or $5 children. Tickets at the gate are $15 for adults or $5 for children.
Gates open at 1.30pm on Saturday with the first race commencing at 2pm.
