There’s snow much to do

The 2017 Snowflakes in Stanthorpe Winter Festival, which held its official launch on Friday night, February 24, will take place over three winter-themed magical days from Friday 30 June to Sunday 2 July.
Snowflakes celebrates all things cool in the coolest place in Queensland.
The events will take place in different locations within Stanthorpe.
The Snowflakes in Stanthorpe management committee is made up of foundation partners the Stanthorpe and Granite Belt Chamber of Commerce, Stanthorpe Agricultural Society, the Stanthorpe Regional Art Gallery and Community Development Services Stanthorpe.
The 2016 Snowflakes won the Granite Belt’s Australia Day 2017 award for the Best Community Event and a bigger, better and bolder event is being planned for 2017.
On Friday 30 June the best of the Granite Belt will shine with wine tasting, markets, entertainment and activities for all ages all day.
On Saturday 1 July there will be two snowfields, a bigger ice rink, and three ‘snow globes’, rock climbing and other activities, along with markets, good food and a wine bar.
Sunday 2 July sees The Big Breakfast, classic cars and markets and the ice skating and snowfields will be operating as well.
Online tickets are expected to be available from Saturday 1 April and local purchases of tickets will be available soon as well, with outlets to be advised.
Purchase of merchandise will also be available locally and online.
Event application packs will be available this month for marketeers who wish to register for the event.
