If you love animals and have spare time on your hands, why not become a foster carer for the Warwick Animal Welfare Association?
The group works tirelessly to save and re-home strays and would love to welcome more foster carers, having only three regulars at present.
Members were at Leslie Park in Warwick last Saturday for a ‘Meet and Greet’ with some of their charges, who are looking for new homes and a fresh start.
Foster carers are provided with all the food and bedding required – all they need to contribute is some “TLC”.
The association charges around $200 per pet for adoption, which covers micro-chipping, de-sexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatment and a general veterinary check.
They would also welcome donations of cash or pet food – food can be dropped off to Warwick’s Spano’s Supa IGA, Fran’s Total Dog Grooming and Aquabird pet store.
To inquire about adopting a new “fur kid” or to report animals requiring rescue call the Warwick Animal Welfare Association on 0447 801 909.
