Fire danger warning issued

A FIRE weather warning issued for the Maranoa, Darling Downs and Granite Belt today, Thursday 1 December, by the Bureau of Meteorology (BOM).
With temperatures set soar close to 40 degrees on Saturday a “severe fire danger” has been forecast for the region.
BOM says a “hot and dry air mass” will combine with moderate to fresh and gusty south-westerly winds to produce enhanced fire dangers over parts of the Maranoa, Warrego, Darling Downs and Granite Belt.
The Rural Fire Service Queensland advises you to:
* Action your Bushfire Survival Plan now.
* Monitor the fire and weather situation through local media and at www.ruralfire.qld.gov.au and www.bom.gov.au
* Call triple-zero in an emergency.
