MORE than 60 fine examples of the famous Dodge motor vehicle brand of the veteran variety will be highly visible in and around Warwick from Monday 10 October.
The Dodge Brothers Club of Australasia will celebrate their 10th anniversary by touring to Warwick, the first time the veteran car club has travelled here.
Spokeswoman Anne Bartley told the Free Times that club members were coming from across Queensland and from interstate for the week-long visit.
“We’ll be basing ourselves on the Guy Street side of Leslie Park and the Senior Citizens have very kindly allowed us to display a couple of vehicles and some signage in front of their building,” Anne said.
“We’ll meet up each morning and we have a number of trips planned, including trips to Queen Mary Falls, Allora and Glengallan Homestead and to Stanthorpe.
“People are more than welcome to come down of a morning and have a look over the vehicles.
“We know Warwick is a great place for rallies and we decided to time the visit to be near the rodeo when all the roses are out.”
Dodge vehicles set to hit Warwick include all manner of makes and models from the 1916 to 1937 period, including a semi-trailer and an ambulance.
