THE Tenterfield Presbyterian Church is about to get a $3400 facelift thanks to the NSW Government, according to local member for the region Thomas George.
“The Tenterfield Presbyterian Church has long needed to carry out important restoration work on this historical church to ensure its continued use well into the future,” Mr George, Member for Lismore, said.
“I am pleased the Premier Mike Baird has seen the necessity of this project to the local community and delivered this much-needed funding.”
Pastor Jim Seymour said he was pleased to see the work taking place,
“On behalf of the Presbyterian Church, I would like to thank Thomas George and the Government of New South Wales for their generosity toward our historic church building,” he said.
“The funds are a saving grace for the old girl. Hopefully, the wooden structure can continue serving the Christian community of Tenterfield well into the future.”
