Healing meet, song and dance

R U OK and Southern Downs Suicide Prevention Group will meet at the Allora RSL Hall on Tuesday 19 July, starting at 9am.
The group will meet and greet, and then go on a short walk on the golf course, followed by relaxation exercises by Kara from Headspace.
At 10am there will a welcome by Headspaces’ Sophia then a Welcome to Country by Darryl Charles. There will then be a healing dance by Aboriginal dancer Sharman Parsons.
Johnno from Southern Downs Suicide Prevention and Sophia from Headspace will also give a short talk on suicide prevention, including signs to look for and how you can help someone at risk.
The day will also feature the lighting of candles for loved ones, with ministers on hand.
Carol Galea will tell her story, and anyone else who would like to talk is welcome to.
The event will finish with morning tea and music by Mixed Generations and the Rhialinghana Group.
The event is free to public and anyone is welcome to attend.
