Going for Baroque

Arioso Ensemble.

AFTER the Brisbane Baroque Festival it will be Stanthorpe’s turn to go for baroque.
The Robert Channon Winery will host the Arioso Ensemble on Sunday 17 April.
The Arioso Ensemble brings together the talents and experience of leading specialists in baroque performance – Hungarian soprano Judit Molnar, Margaret Caley (violin), Belinda Manwaring (cello) and Janet Brewer (harpsichord).
Playing on period instruments, they will perform a selection of Bach arias from his Wedding Cantata BWV 210, a selection of Handel German arias, Bach’s violin sonata in G, a Bonocini cello sonata and a Handel harpsichord suite.
The baroque period includes many of our best loved composers.
This is a concert of beautiful music, and it will be a wonderful season opener for our 2016 concert series.
The concert is indoors in the Swigmore Hall at Robert Channon Wines at 2pm on Sunday 17 April.
Tickets are $25 including a glass of wine at the interval. Lunches are available beforehand in the Singing Lake Cafe. For bookings, call the winery on 07 4683 3260.
