Cattle missing after truck rollover

THREE cattle were missing following a truck rollover at 7pm on Tuesday 5 April on Wallace Street, Warwick.
Detective Senior Constable Darrell Dunstone of Warwick police said a cattle truck rolled over on Wallace Street with the driver sustaining injury and receiving medical treatment.
He said there were 50 head of cattle on board at the time, but unfortunately two beasts died as a result of the rollover. Other cattle escaped into the surrounding area and most were located with the assistance of police, council and members of the community.
Three cattle are still outstanding.
These cattle are described as black Angus cross weaner steers, about 350kg in weight branded ‘F Spur V’ on the near side rump.
NLIS tags are fitted to their ears as well as coloured management ear tags with a number and the property name of ‘Nariel’.
Police are seeking the assistance of the public in the Warwick area to locate the missing cattle so they can be returned to the owner.
